Stranorlar

Introduction by Bernie, Stranorlar community organiser

I’m Bernie and I’m a guidance counsellor here in Finn Valley College, Stranorlar. I also coordinate wellbeing in the school so when I came across this project I thought it would be a lovely piece of work for our student wellbeing team.

The students were so enthusiastic and loved the project. Two of the students did their interviews by Zoom call and the others did it by phone. They found that our seniors have great resilience and outlook on life. Most seem to have had a passion or project that kept them going through the pandemic. They all have a great sense of humour and genuine interest in our young. I hope our seniors got as much out of the project as our students did.
