Danny McLaughlin (Turner)
Interviewed by Mary Doherty / photos by Malcolm McGettigan
Mary: How long have you lived in the area?
Danny: I have lived here since 1975.
Mary: What’s a fond memory you have of living here?
Danny: A fond memory I have is the joy of building my family home.
Mary: What are some things that have helped you through lockdown and what brings you joy?
Danny: The good weather and sitting outside whilst visiting helped me through lockdown. The thing that brings me joy is when my family visits.
Mary: What does community mean to you? What sort of things are you doing now to stay connected to your community and family?
Danny: All of the community works together when needed. I tell everyone that they are always welcome to visit and my door is always open.
Mary: What message do you want to share for yourself and this community in 10 years time?
Danny: Always help as much as you can in the community and help your family and friends.
