Anne: How long have you lived in the area?
John: 44 years.

Anne: What’s a fond memory you have of living here?
John: Being included in the Kilnamona hurling club and the opening of the Kilnamona hurling club.

Anne: Have you seen this community come back from hard times before?
John: The community has been very lucky to not see very hard times while I’ve been living here.

Anne: What are some things that have helped you through lockdown and what brings you joy?
John: My garden and my family nearby and my neighbours.

Anne: What does community mean to you? What sort of things are you doing now to stay connected to your community and family?
John: The community is my family, friends and neighbours who are there when you need them.

Anne: What message do you want to share for yourself and this community in 10 years time?
John: Live your life in a full and happy way, and don’t look back with any regrets.
