Interviewed by Nadia / photographer Madeline Mulqueen

Nadia: How long have you lived in your area?
Paddy: Since 2003.

Nadia: What’s a fond memory you have of living in your area?
Paddy: Joining the local choir and being so excited to sing.

Nadia: Have you seen this community come back from hard times before?
Paddy: WWII happened when I was 10 and my dad was involved. The community really struggled.

Nadia: What are some things that have helped you through lockdown and what brings you joy?
Paddy: My family brings me joy we do two family Zoom calls a week. I am a Buddhist and I have three weekly meetings for that.

Nadia: What message do you want to leave for yourself and your community in 10 years?
