Lara: How long have you lived in the area?
Anne: 59 years

Lara: Have you seen this community come back from hard times before?
Anne: Growth of the area and the tourist industry. The redevelopment of Powerscourt House.

Lara: What’s a fond memory you have of living here?
Anne: Working in in Bally Brew Quarry with the local stone men.

Lara: What sort of things are you doing now to stay connected to your community and family and what does community mean to you?
Anne: Regular video calls with my grandson in Scotland. Calls with siblings and friends. Church activities and looking after the church.

Lara: What message do you want to leave for yourself and this community in 10 years time?
Anne: Don’t be afraid to work hard and look after your family.
