Molly Bourke

Molly was interviewed by her granddaughter Elizabeth:

“With the restrictions in place at the time, my grandma was the only elderly person I had contact with. Since grandad died at Christmas, we have spent so much time together. She’s a real Wexford woman and I learn so much from her. I love hearing all the stories and when you get her together with a sibling, friend or relative, it’s just gas!”

I took a photo of the bread that myself and my grandmother made. We spent an afternoon baking bread, cakes and scones. She doesn’t use any recipes at all. She uses the recipes that her mother passed onto her by word back in the 1940s. She remembers baking and cooking with her mother still. And can quote her mother.
